Privacy
Privacy, in plain language
Last updated October 15, 2026. We keep this short on purpose.
Price Bug Alerts (“we”, “us”) runs pricebugalerts.com and the @PriceBugAlerts account on X. This policy explains what little data we touch.
What we collect
- Email alerts (when launched): If you sign up for email alerts, we’ll collect the email address you submit so we can send deal notices. That form is not collecting signups yet — when it goes live, it’ll say so clearly.
- Click counting on /go/ links: When you use a Get Deal / redirect link, we may record basic click info (deal slug, retailer, timestamp, referrer) via a beacon or similar so we can see what people open. Browsers may also store a short local click log on your device.
- Standard server / host logs: Our host (e.g. Cloudflare) may process IP address, user agent, and request URLs as part of serving the site and protecting it from abuse.
- Affiliate cookies: Links to Amazon, eBay, and future partners can set or read cookies / tracking parameters so those programs can attribute a purchase to us. Those companies have their own privacy policies.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- We don’t run a creepy cross-site profile of you for ad resale.
- We don’t ask for passwords or payment card numbers on this site.
Third parties
Retailers and affiliate networks (Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network, and others we join) process data when you leave our site through a tracked link. Social networks process data when you visit our profiles. Sponsors only get what you choose to share if you contact them.
Kids
This site is aimed at adults shopping online. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
